Two more things I just remembered because I was shopping in Carnaby Street/Covent Garden this weekend.

1.All the fun of the fair: cute knitting little knitting shop (http://www.allthefunofthefair.biz/)

Scoop: the best gelato in all of London. Try the pistachio, it's to die for.

OMG, I know! I tried to go to Ottolenghi but they were closing just as I arrived! But I'll have to pass your recommendations off to Jen who is lucky enough to live in the area!

Hi there!

Been stalking your blog for a while, and just noticed that you were in my neck of the woods! If you are still in London, one of my favorite things around Loop is the Ottolenghi cafe right around the corner, on Upper street. Yummy salads, and really great desserts. If you go to Liberty (off Regent), you can sometimes find back issues of Rowan magazine on sale. Right down the street from La Porchetta (on Exmouth) is a great gastropub, The Easton. They do a brilliant and not-so-expensive lunch and/or dinner! For a more upscale dinner, I would recommend Medcalf for a great steak (also in Exmouth)!

Hello, I went to Loop for the first time last week and was totally enchanted! Do you know what the name of the cafe was? Whenever I visit my sister in London I always drag her to London Bridge to go the market and a nice cup of tea could be just the thing to pacify her...
