Diamond Fantasy

Vancouver is seriously lacking sufficient light to take photos right now. These were shot at 6400 iso. 6400. I can’t even believe it.

Diamond Fantasy Shawl

The Diamond Fantasy Shawl is done and blocked. Knit out of the Silk Lamb Lace yarn, I followed Sivia’s instructions to the letter — the shawl is 10 repeats with the icord edging. The perfect size. Divine and soft, I love it. If you are in Vancouver and want to see it up close and personal, it’s actually at the [three bags full](http://www.threebagsfull.ca) shop right now. I’ll probably leave it there for a couple weeks… and I doubt I’ll need to wear it anytime soon!

That is stunning. It’s looks beautiful in the slightly varigated yarn. The darker than normal lighting just makes it stand out more. :)

Gorgeous – perfect. I have her pattern sitting on my shelf right now, waiting patiently…

Being on the opposite coast in Halifax, I understand the lack of light (we actually had power outages not that long ago due to “salty fog”:)

BTW, I knit a pair of gauntlets out of your “Buffy” colourway – just wanted to say that I was VERY pleased with your yarn/dyework! No fading, the yarn is so soft and spongy, no pooling, it reminded me of Koigu (but I think I like yours more!)

  12. Cara says...

One of my favorite patterns ever. You and the shawl are beautiful!

  13. gleek says...

Wow, Felicia. That’s gorgeous, and so are you! Sivia’s design is fantastic, and I’m not even a triangle wearer (I am determined to make one of her rectangular stoles).

  22. Elemmaciltur says...

  23. brooke says...

    Beautiful shawl!

  24. stinkerbell says...

that has to be one FANCY DSLR that you have there to get that high of grain! But the grain makes it look all the better :)
and really I want one of these shawls but triangluar ones kind of scare me as I am not that keen on where it points to…
you look lovely with it though… like that wasnt a given :)

  25. kae says...

Gorgeous! I really can’t wait to get my hands on some of your yarn… but like I said, it will be all the more sweet to get it when I’m IN Vancouver. I’m so homesick!!!

  33. Eilene says...

Gorgeous! Now I really feel the need to knit another shawl…somebody stole my Birch shawl :-(

  34. Louisa says...

She’s just lovely, Felicia! And to think that I saw her when she was still attached to the ball! Hoping to get over to see Diamond Fantasy in the wool (so to speak) tomorrow morning.

I was just linked to your blog and love your work. You’ve done some truly wonderful weavings, as well as great knitting. I am getting my first loom this winter, and had a question. I love your gorgeous silk scarves and was wondering if you knew either approximately how many yards or how much weight you’re using when making one.

  36. sivia says...

I saw your shawl at tbf on monday and I was floored. It is so gorgeous in your yarn! I just bought some lace yarn in that colourway for myself… Thank you for bringing it in to live in the store for a while… so sweet of you!

  37. Nymue, Eveilleuse Créative says...

Paris-Vancouver is a bit far away to see in real this gorgeous shawl… Hope to come back there soon :-)

I just went to three bags full and got my hands on your shawl. It’s even better in person!

  40. Aida Costa says...

You look so beautiful in that colour!!! The shawl is gorgeous.

  41. Lisa says...

Okay, now I have another reason to go over to Three Bags Full. Can’t wait to check it out. And I hear you on the lack of light in Vancouver these days. Decent naturally-lit photos are near impossible at the moment.

  42. Ronni says...

I absolutely love the shawl you’ve knit. It’s a work of art and knit in that beautiful yarn you’ve created, fantabulous!

Looks to me to be purple colorway, maybe the new casis but difficult to know on my monitor screen.
Could you let me know which colorway it is as I would like to order your yarn in same color and knit up this shawl.

    Happy Holidays and Happy Knitting
    Ronni
