<description>1. How was 2006 for you? Pretty freakin&#039; awesome!

2. What was the highlight of your year? Finishing a 150-page thesis on homegrown European terrorism. Graduating from college with a BA in Political Science. Landing a job in research in my field. Landing a job at the super-cool knitting cafe nearby. Finding a rocking apartment after our housemate got too sketchy to live with.

3. What did you want to accomplish that you didn’t get to? I would have loved to win the Watson Fellowship and spend 12 months traveling to knitting communities across Europe. I sometimes feel if I had worked just a little harder to plan my project and convey it to the interviewer, I might have gotten the award. But I&#039;m enjoying my life too much to dwell on (probably unwarranted) regrets.

4. What are you planning for 2007? Great things. Graduate school in Europe or Montreal, a knitting blog that actually gets updated, maybe writing up some of my patterns finally.

<description>1. How was 2006 for you? Absolutely wonderful on many many aspects, but pretty bad health-wise... and I&#039;m apparently not yet done with it.
2. What was the highlight of your year? Getting the opportunity to invent a great freelancing job to serve the needs of the storyteller/writer who is the love of my life. Having him with me in all the good and the bad times. Deciding to take up spinning and really getting at it instead of just dreaming of it (I&#039;ve just received my first spindle, and some fibers are coming my way!).
3. What did you want to accomplish that you didn’t get to? I didn&#039;t get to sell my house and buy the one we had chosen together for lack of a buyer. And so many other things...
4. What are you planning for 2007? Trying to be less in a passive mode and more in an active mode. (That would help accomplishing many of things left unaccomplished in 2006!). And I&#039;ll continue to be looking for my true calling... maybe I&#039;ll find it through spinning? &#039;Cause I definitely hear it calling my name...

<description>How was 2006 for you? Lots of really big changes, it started up rough, but ended up pretty good.

What was the highlight of your year? Having my boyfriend move in and not be a disaster.
What did you want to accomplish that you didn’t get to? Finish knitting my first sweater.
What are you planning for 2007?
KNit more sweaters!! And determine if I want to stay in my job.

		<description>How was 2006 for you?
It was a year of adjustments: adjusting to a new part of the country, staying home full time with my son, and meeting new people.

What was the highlight of your year?
Visiting New York and San Francisco. We hadn&#039;t been to New York in a few years, and I really wanted to get back &quot;home&quot; to San Francisco after being gone for a year.

What did you want to accomplish that you didn’t get to?
I wanted to do more gardening -- build raised beds, do something about the lawn in the back yard, plant more flowers.

What are you planning for 2007?
See above. We&#039;ve bought the wood for the raised beds, so we&#039;re on our way. I&#039;d also like to refresh my Chinese language skills, and start selling some of my stuff in craft fairs.

<description>1. 2006 was a year of mental transition, looking at things in new ways.
2. The highlights of my year were starting my blog, finishing a 5-year knitting project, and doing a 40-mile charity bike ride. Also buying my dream car.
3. We had hoped to sell our house and move, but couldn&#039;t find a buyer. I didn&#039;t read as many books as I had hoped to, and I didn&#039;t finish my pink camisole, which is a challenging pattern for me because of gauge.
4.In 2007, we&#039;ll put our house up for sale again and try to move to a house that better suits our needs. I want to start training to ride a century (100 miles) and join a cycling club. I definitely want to knit and read more, and my long-term goal is to find a job that I love.

<description>How was 2006 for you? Mostly exhausting, My husband and I built most of our log house. We worked long hours everyday and learned lots of new skills. It is still not finished. I also taught myself how to knit and have finished several easy projects.

What was the highlight of your year? Moving in to my new house

What did you want to accomplish that you didn’t get to? Getting out on some backpacking trips this summer. Getting more of my writing published

What are you planning for 2007? finishing the outside of my new house, getting away on some backpacking trips, get more writing published, knit more.
