Excellent interview! I've been reading your adventures with weaving with interest and you asked exactly the questions I had in mind.

Wow, 4:30 in the morning....you have my full and total admiration and respect! And I am amazed that you have only been weaving one year....

Great interview.... I feel my motivation going up!!! Have been cutting down on buying books, but this one looks like a real find...hmmmm, maybe I'll ask my sister to get it for me for Christmas....^-^

Thanks for posting the questions and answers. I enjoyed reading through them even though I don't know how to weave. It's nice to hear you're inspired to get up early for your hobby. Now I feel like getting up early to do things, too! I still think you're doing a great job with the knitting. We just saw you finish Sizzle the other day, right?

I found your blog a few months ago, and love your graphics and the work that you do. I'm mainly a knitter and I like to sew, but had that same Fisher Price loom as a child. I would love to get into weaving one day.

Thanks for such a great interview, and thoughtful questions!

This is a wonderful interview! (Though I wouldn't expect anything less.) I'm really intrigued by this book and by the author - I love the way she thinks about weaving, quality equipment, and time. It's going on my wish list!

Did you see this:

SCHACHT
The WooLee Winder for the Schacht wheel uses the whorls that came with the wheel. Therefore, the ratios are the same as with the original flyer. High-speed bobbins are also available. The wood is finished to match the Schacht wheel.

Thank you for a wonderful interview! I just bought my first loom this weekend (an 8-harness Schacht table loom), in part because I have been reading about your weaving adventures. They are inspiring!

In addition to the space and cost constraints, I think there are fewer resources out there for people who want to weave. For other fiber arts (knitting, spinning, crocheting, dyeing), there are online forums, huge blog rings, and "how to" instructions readily available. I think that's an additional barrier to new weavers, especially those of the technology generation.
