So weak.

On Saturday, I just happened to be at Urban Yarns and just happened to buy a little more yarn. I just felt like I couldn’t leave the store without it — heaven forbid someone else buy up that yarn that I wanted…

Handmaiden’s Angel Hair

Yes, more Kidsilk Haze

That’s about 800 yards of Handmaiden’s “Angel Hair”, hand painted kid mohair and silk. I’m thinking this is comparable to Lorna’s Laces Heaven, except that Angel Hair is less than half the price. It’s $25 CDN vs. up to $70 USD for Heaven. I’m thinking about using this for the Meadow Flowers Shawl out of Knitters Stash.

And yes, that’s more Kidsilk Haze. Two balls in Smoke for Sharon Miller’s River stole. I’ll cast on for this after I finish Birch — only 26 more repeats to go!

That angel hair is gorgeous! Great value too - mohair silk for $25 - it would have been a crime not to buy it. :-)

The handmaiden’s angel hair is so so lovely. Nice purchase! So the River stole takes 2 balls of kidsilk haze? I’ve been admiring it online, but have yet to receive the new Rowan mag.

Is the Handmaiden’s very hard to find? I googled it and came up with nothing. The colors are sublime!

Hi Ingrid! I should have mentioned, the girl who hand dyes the HandMaiden stuff is the daughter of the Fleece Artist lady! So here is their website: http://www.fleeceartist.com/handmaiden/index.html

I can’t wait to see River. The photo in the Rowan mag is so vexing. I’m sure it’s a beautiful shawl but I have no idea what it looks like. :)

Wow, that color on handmaiden angel is stunning! I really don’t blame you for snatching it up fast! I remember you said something about Lorna’s Laces not being sold in Canada. Lettuce Knit in Toronto sells it. You might want to check them out. Theya re linked on my blog.

No wonder! That yarn looks tempting indeed. Congratulations on your baby Norgi. I’ll still stay away from steeks but your courage is admirable.

Handmaiden is gorgeous!!! Hmmm…River only requires 2 balls of Kidsilk haze? I was sad finishing birch, as I really enjoyed the KSH and all those k2togs/yarn overs. I was hoping to find something nice to give me an excuse to work with KSH again…this may just be it :-)
