Lucky Clover KAL: Snapped out of a lull

“Lucky” from Stitch n’ Bitch Nation. Knit me in lavendar cotton!

Like I need another cardi.

Today is the official start date for the Lucky Clover KAL, hosted by Lauren at LollyKnitting Around. I justify joining yet another cardi KAL (when I haven’t even finished the Ribby Cardi KAL — that zipper will be the bane of my knitting existence) by the fact that I already ordered the yarn for it… weeks and weeks ago… This is actually a stash-busting experience!

So, I’ll be using Elann’s Endless Summer Lara in Lavender. It’s a sportweight yarn that can pretty much match Rowan 4-ply. Some people are subbing with Elann’s Endless Summer Sonata (DK-weight), Baby Cashmere (fingering weight), and Jaeger Siena. Looks pretty flexible to me!

The nice thing about this KAL is that Melissa, the designer of the sweater, is participating as well. She’s already helped a number of people with the size problems printed in the book — apparently the “finished bust size” doesn’t match the schematics and it’s making people cuckoo.

I’ve joined the KAL too! When are you starting? I don’t think I’ll be starting for a while. Still want to get some winter knits done.
