Hi Felicia,

Found your blog interesting - don't you love those Chinese fortune tellers? I was born in the year of the Rooster and this year is apparently not so good for me! Now on to a serious question: I'm especially interested in getting one of those Sew EZ boards. Like the other ladies, I want to know whether you paid any customs duties and taxes on top of all that. I also live in Vancouver, coincidentally! I wonder if they have them at Dressew?

Hi,
I second Christine's question about customs charges. I have been burned by this before! Please advise.

When you bought the board from Ebay (or guardian tablepad), what kind of shipping and customs charges did you have to pay to get it to Canada?

I bought one a while ago and layed heavy duty clear plastic tablecloth fabric on top. Though the pins make holes, the board hasn't gotten wet and it protects it from moisture.

If you need another source for the Sew EZ blocking board I bought mine from www.guardian-tablepad.com for 50 dollars for the large one. I think they charged about 17 dollars for shipping. And it had it in no time! Good luck.

hi felicia,
i hate to post an unrelated comment, but i'd like to make the sweater you made from the winter phildar tendances (yours looks awesome!), and i have no idea where i'm going to procure the yarn. any suggestions? do you think the shop where you bought yours still carries it? if i rang them up, would they ship it to NYC?
thanks!
jess
