Mail-order Monday

It’s 12:30 pm and already I’ve been visited by at least five delivery people! Between printer supplies, the new Apple iWork software, and various other deliveries, I received my new purse!

Jordana Paige's Knitter's Purse

It’s Jordana Paige’s Knitter’s Purse in black… it’s quite a bit bigger than I thought it might be — big enough to hold, you know, one of those Tinkerbell dogs. But I love it — it’s deceptively minimal and sleek, with a tiny little embroidered label that says “Jordana Paige”. Black, slim and trim, it could very well say “Kate Spade”.

Does this mean I can now knit during client meetings? Probably not. But I can bring my knitting along with me for before and after!

A nice touch — they even included a beautiful set of mini bamboo knitting needles (Clover) in size US 3/3.25 mm. Very nice.

Hey Felicia, I just saw your comment. Let’s see, the sleeves were miles too big as written. I measured my arms and adapted the pattern accordingly. Also, there are not enough decreases to make for a true bell sleeve. This did not bother me, but if you are going for a true bell, you’ll want to adapt. All in all, this is a sweater you pretty much have to design thyself. However, I should say that I wear mine frequently and always get compliments. It’s a bit itchy, but that’s one thing I can’t blame on Suss! If you have other questions, let me know!

P.S. My comments are in reference to the Bell Sleeve Pullover… I love your site. You and I have similar taste in projects (And are both masochists, taking on a Suss pattern…in mohair no less!)

I just received my bag today too!!! I have a red one and it is sooooo nice - I agree, nice touch with the knitting needles and I even had a pencil in one of the pencil slots. Love it, already loaded up and ready to go! Enjoy!

Love the bag. Where did you order it from? Did you have to order it from the States? Was the duty high?

I’ve had that bag for a little over 2 years now (yr before last xmas present) and I LUV it! It carries everything and still looks cute I just throw my everyday purse in it and take it everywhere (you never know when you’ll have an opportunity to knit). It has held up wonderfully and I get complements all the time. You’ll love the new addition to your knitting family.

Hey, you know what - I think I read on your blog that you have a wonderful sewing machine - why don’t you make yourself drawstring bags to keep your knitting in - that way you could pop whatever project in your very smart new purse, as the fancy took you!! I make mine from calico and embroider them to peronalize them. Your site has inspired me no end (hope that translates!) thanks.

Ooh the RYC site is now open and very pretty yarns there.

I have been eyeing the bag but since I have some bags similar to it from levengers…I guess I can’t really justify getting it. But enjoy your bag.

what do you think?
