The Joy of Self-Gifting
It’s literally stash madness. In the face of looming work deadlines, cooking/baking deadlines and knitting deadlines… buy more yarn.
After discovering that Wool & Wicker (in Steveston) had a few colours of GGH Savanna, I made my way down to Steveston Village on Saturday and bought 10 balls of Savanna in beige/linen to make that lovely cabled sweater. While there, I also bought two 100g skeins of Regia — one for me (the red one!) and one for the DH. He got to pick through the sock yarn section and find the colours he liked… we’ll make a convert out of him yet.

And look what the postperson brought yesterday — the Jaeger Luxury Tweed! It’s fuzzy cable time! The sellers even included two sew-in “Jaeger Handknits” labels — very nice!

Of course every purchase is justified. I mean, it’s Christmas-time.
WOW! i’m in awe of all of your lux yarns! Beautiful stuff. Knitty Bliss!
Very Very Pretty. I was wondering if you got your yarns yet that you won. I just got mine from Canada that I won 2 weeks ago.
Can’t wait to see the finished products.

Oooh Felicia, I’m glad you’re doing the cable sweater. I’ve been putting mine off. What do you think to the yarn? I found it a little weird on the ball, but it actually knits up softer - thank god! Mind you, I think my first batch may of been damaged - long story.
I can’t wait for you to start. I need motivation.
Oooh, and the China Pink. Thanks for the close up. I can’t wait to get mine (yep, I ordered it along with 10 balls of Rowan Kid Classic - tut tut).
Enjoy the yummy yummy yarn.
Your Rebecca sweater is going to look great. I can’t wait to see it as it will probably be forever until I get to start mine. I need to get the Ribby Cardi done first. Love the swatches!
Yarn stash madness! Love it. I can’t wait until we all get to see it.
