Tufty Sleeves

With Zara out of the to-do pile, I’ve started on the sleeves for Willow. Again, I’m knitting these two at a time. If you’re going to mess up, better to mess up _symmetrically_.

I don’t know about this Big Wool Tuft stuff. It’s pretty weird to work with…even more so than mohair. As soon as you think you’re about to make a nice smooth stitch, a big clump of fuzz lands between your needles. It really is novelty yarn, eh? But not as novel as [this](http://www.knitr2.com/index.html).

It looks great. Beautiful shot too! Inspiring as always. Can I ask what settings you use when you take a shot without natural light? Of course, I’m assuming you do that! ;0)

Your pistachio sweater looks great too. I have to pick up stitches for a collar (soon I hope). Is it easy?

Man, do I need to get a FO soon. I’m embarrassed as how long it’s been. I gotta get my shitola together (yeah, what’s new!). ;0)

Thanks guys! Yes, unfortunately, I’m chained to my desk during periods of natural light. So most of my photos are taken at home under ?ºber-warm tungsten light. I use the tungsten white-balance setting on the camera itself which cuts out a lot of the yellow cast. Then when I crop and resize in Photoshop, I apply the Cool Filter (like a blue filter) at about 15-20%….

Picking up stitches is fun! You’ll love it. I’m going to finish my Tendances sweater this way as well…knit the cowl in the round. Why oh why would they specify to knit it flat and then stitch it up (reversing the seam for the part that rolls over)? I mean, you still need to use a circular?

Hey Adele, no worries about no FO’s. These have been sitting in the to-do pile for a while, but I was so inspired to start more sweaters that I got down to getting these finished.

Willow looks wonderful. I think it looks great so far. I can keep an eye on yours (your my guinea pig) and if it turns out great…it’s full steam ahead for me.

You are so fast! Look at all the FOs you have. I can’t wait to see the Wool Tuft finished. I would love to do “Virginia” from the Big Just Got Bigger book, so I can’t wait to hear how you like the finished look with the Wool Tuft.

Hello from Hong Kong! Thanks for the close up on the Tuft. I’m dithering whether to knit Willow, now I may have to do it.

I’m looking forward to see you finish Willow, since I’m very interesting in hearing how it is to wear. I’m a bit suspicious when it comes to thick yarns, but I like the look of Willow very much. And you pictures are really good!
