Productive Sickness
It’s never a convenient time to get sick. And it’s especially inconvenient when you have a pile of work to get through. So what to do when your brain is foggy? Stay home, sleep, knit, and watch the Sopranos.
Lucky for my, my stay-at-home weekend gave me time to finish seaming the Phildar sweater and complete the Flower Basket Shawl for my mom. The Phildar sweater is HUGE even though I made the smallest size… so there are no photos yet… I’m still trying to “style” it so that it looks correct (hmm, maybe that’s why the model in the magazine is all slouchy and reclining on the sofa! She’s hiding the masses of baggy reverse stockinette! Oh, the conspiracy!). Here is the Flower Basket getting finished up:

Wow, that is super gorgeous…
Can’t wait to see the Phildar sweater.
Stunning Felicia!
Okay, that shot seriously makes me want a blocking board. You’re bad.
Can’t wait to see the sweater. I’m sorry to hear it’s bigger than expected. What a shitter.
Your shawl is wonderful! Sorry to hear about the Phildar sweater. Phildar’s models have fit me very good so far, I hope I’m not up for such suprises in the future. Is this your first Phildar, or have previous ones fit better?
Beautiful! Hope you are feeling better.
Thanks ladies! Yes, it’s my first Phildar sweater… see the body and sleeves fit perfectly, but this particular design has a very very wide cowl neck which I’m finding too slouchy. I actually ran some yarn around the entire collar to “gather” it slightly. It definitely helped….we’ll see, we’ll see.
your shawl looks fantastic!
it’s beautiful! congratulations! don’t you just love how the lace opens up with blocking?
Ths shawl is beautiful and the colour so rich! Hope you are feeling better soon.
